Love love love this silk feel thin blazer by Peacocks. I went to visit the family in England for a long weekend and on the way down I felt so happy that the sun was shining so bright and the heat was pouring in, that same feeling I get when I go on a shopping spree….happy happy happy! So on one of our stops I bought a few magazines including LOOK where I saw an amazing piece in the top styles section. This piece totally caught my eye, it’s bright colours, studs around the edges of the blazer, really makes it stand out. It makes me think of Africa and I love an African style print that shouts statement. So that was it, I was on a mission. I knew I had to find this blazer and lucky for me there is a peacocks in the small town I was visiting. So the day after I reached I got dressed and walked in the pouring rain to peacocks. ..and there it was shining brightly…I was so happy! I bought it in a size 18 and also noticed there was one in pastel colours…I wish I had bought that too! Best buy in a while. Great for hot weather, thin and comfy, looks great with a simple piece. I wore with a plain black vest top and denim jeggings  from Newlook, black and gold sandals from Boohoo and the fiorelli bag you all know I love so much. The pink and gold sunglasses are also from peacocks. They have some lovely statement pieces at the moment, it’s well worth a trip to your nearest peacocks store.

These sunglasses are from My Dress Room which is a lovely online boutique, unfortunately they do not do plus size but they have a lovely range of accessories,  shoes and other pieces which are worth a look.

Cut for Evans

So I always loved the cut for evans range at Evans never thought id be brave enough to wear any of bright and colour items. So I bought an amazing dress from the range which I am in love with!

So I wore this amazing colourful dress casual the other day. I will wear it with heels soon but here I wore with black leggings, black boots and black biker jacket with my favourite grey beanie, luckily I did as I ended up getting soaked by the morning rain on the walk to work. I just didnt care because I felt bright in this dress like I was the sun walking about the streets. Was a nice feeling!

This was me at work after I fully dried…was happy to see my mums dog Maisie and felt alot warmer hehe. This cut for evans dress really brings the colour out in everything. I love how its so versatile! Theirs not many outrageously funky pieces out in the shops that you can pull of as a casual outfit aswell as an evening outfit. I find the great thing about the cut for evans pieces is that any thing will go with them any colour of bag or clutch, shoes or jewellery. I can wear this dress in so many ways ill never really run out of options. Totally digging this range!

Weather Fashion

So walking to work today I got totally drenched I will post my outfit photos soon. At the moment I only have cardigans or a leather jacket and really need to invest on a really good jacket. I need help guys! I really would like a mac maybe in beige or grey, dont want black because im no longer a fashion widow lol im out there and bright! If anyone knows of any where please let me know at least then if I get drenched by our beautiful scottish rain I will be saved. Just leave a comment if you have seen any recently. Thanks in advance

Yesterdays ootd

Yesterday I wore something that was out of my comfort zone, an outfit of pieces id never have thought to have worn but decided id go for it, what the heck right?

So I have a thing about leather. I freaking love it! This leather jacket was actually given to me by a bestie who I look up to in fashion and ive never gone back! THANKS TOR FACE! I love this outfit along side this bag as it makes the bag really stand out (and me for that matter lol) So heres what im wearing…

Jacket – F&F at Tesco black faux leather biker short jacket. Zips up and looks fabulous with any outfit casual or dressy. In love!

Dress- Yep this is actually a dress so you will see me wearing this again with heels. Thin strappy swing vest dress by George at Asda. Fabulous on, skims over the belly nicely and it sits just perfect. I find some swing tops/dress have loose straps but this ones perfect.

Leggings – Grey long leggings from F&F at Tesco, I love these leggings. They are dark grey and look fab against the black.

Boots – Newlook’s black chunky boots they have some elastic on the sides so they are easy to get on and off. Great for wide feet ladies! Im addicted to these boots and will be buying more soon. I wear these quite a lot, they dont feel like im wearing heels as they are so comfy and go nicely with most outfits.

Bag – FIORELLI amazing large fuschia bag. Cant get enough of this bag! The colour is absaloutley to die for. Stands out in the crowd. So ladies if your a dark clothes wearer use your accessories to add a little colour….this bag gets so much attention I always have people stopping to ask me about it.

So that was my ootd for yesterday and for those of you who dont already know ootd means Outfit Of The Day.

Soft Palettes

So Im going out soon to the next town and im looking forward to sharing with you my MOTD (makeup of the day) so here we go…

image

Today I decided to go for the natural look with my makeup, I do normally go quite natural as I love the pale shades of lipsticks. Here im wearing the following:

image

Face – Clinique moisture surge CC cream (tinted moisturiser)

image

Face– Benefit Fake Up concealer

image

Face – Clinique face powder for coverage and bareMinerals warmth as a bronzer

image

Face – avon light and luminous blusher

image

Eyes – I use a nude cream on my eyelids up to my brows (No7) and using the thick concealer brush I brush the No7 brown eyeshadow into my eyebrows to make them fuller.

image

Eyes – My new buy and will never go back to any other brand. My eyelashes are done in Benefits AMAZING “They’re Real” mascara!

image

image

Lips – I just use any brown lipliner and fill in my lips with Benefits Super Colour Fabu Lip Stick in Super Nude D32

This look is great for everyday wear, I find using the clinique tinted moisturiser and the powder makes me feel makeup-less it gives a nice light coverage and you can add more for evening wear. BENEFIT however..i am in love with their products at the moment. Going into town soon so I will buy some more goodies!

Recent Buys

Very excited about my very summery buys this weekend which will be posting photos of them on when I wear them. So I decided to head into the nearest city met my cousin, had a spot of lunch and hit the shops. Ovcourse where I am in Inverness there arent many shops which do plus size clothing and I will express my views on this in my next post. So heres my buys from saturday….

image

Top left – Primark open back top
Middle left – Primark Pastel Swing dress
Bottom left – Topshop Freedom Hoops
Bottom middle – Next Black Swing Vest
Bottom right – Primark Pumps, Necklace and hoop earrings
Top middle – Primark Kitten slingbacks
Top right – Primark Floral Swing Dress

These are my favourite buys in a long time, really feel summer is coming when I see pastels and floral patterns in the shops! I always feel so romantic in pastels and florals really bring a smile to my face especially on a miserable rainy day. Primark really surprised me this weekend it looked so full of life I knew I wouldnt be walking out empty handed.

Hard To Find

So I wanted to say a quick but important note on how easy/hard it is for me to go shopping, find a size 20/22 and be able to try it on. Dont these retailers know how important it is for us curvy girls to feel good? I used to think that because I was a size 22 and fat I had to make more an effort to look good so people wouldnt be nasty about my weight or comment on the way I lived and dressed. Now that ive grown to love myself from the inside out I dont care what other people think of me or what they might say if I have a few lumps or bumps showing through my very fashionable clothes hehe. We were all put on this earth to be who we want to be there are so many oppurtunities but most of all dont be frightened to be yourself, to be happy and to be confident! So im slowly going off topic now… So I went into inverness my nearest city saturday just passed and I realised there was really only a handfull of shops that cater to my size:

Primark
H&M
Marks & Spencer
Dorothy Perkins
Monsoon
Debenhams
Next
Evans
NewLook

Although ive said quite a few there are only a few I would actually go into and buy from. I find some shops do sell plus size clothing but dont cater to all ages. I find some are quite old fashioned and I dont mean in a fashionable back to.the 60s trend kind of way. Although I must say most places are getting extremely brave with some of their patterns and style which is very exciting! Im still in love with the Cut for Evans Range! More and more ranges are coming out and catching my eye and ill be happy to show you all.

1st Blog

Hey guys! So im new to blogging and will try and post as often as possible.I have read a few good blogs online and have always wondered what it would be like to be a plus size blogger & model. Id love to be a model so will do that for all of you on my blog, hopefully a role model more than anything hehe. I would love to change the world and stop all bullying and the way people think towards larger people but that wont happen overnight. Yes it is slowly becoming a better world for us plus size girlies with curvy women becoming models, shops expanding to bigger sizes etc and thats great. I would like to show people that just because your curvy, big, large, fat or even skinny…you can look gorgeous! It just takes a little time to tell yourself that you, yes YOU are beautiful and once you realise this you will become happy in every thing you do. I hope to show you all my favourite outfits, blogs on my views and about certain fashion finds and also how being plus size in my world effects me. Take a look at A Little About Me
